I hope to translate the built-in AI engine, or customize the AI API to access the translation engine, which can set default translations for different languages, and automatically translate when opening emails

got it! are you mostly using our app on a macbook or your iphone? we've spotted a little bug on the macbook side and are squashing it as we speak!
by the way, for auto-translation, you can just hit "more actions(…)" in an email, tap "translate," and choose "always." that should do the trick for next time!
on the api front, we've actually switched to gemini – the quality is a step up from google translator! it's a bit of a slowpoke right now, but we're on it and rolling out a speed boost in this week's update.
love the feedback, keep it coming

gemini-flash-lite-latest is recommended to be used as a translation engine; the upgraded version is fast and has good translation quality

We’ve updated our email translation AI model and significantly improved the translation speed. Feel free to give it another try!
